Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 8 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (1 + 8 + 8 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo's or work according to chart key.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k1, * k3, yo, skpo, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k2tog, yo, cdd, yo, skpo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k2tog, * (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, cdd, repeat from * to last 6 sts, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, skpo, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
