How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 22 + 2 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 26 sts (22 + 2 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 22 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, yo (yarn over), * cdd, yo, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, yo, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, yo, * cdd, k4, yo, k3, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k3, yo, k4, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, yo, * cdd, k3, yo, k5, yo, cdd, yo, k5, yo, k3, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, yo, * cdd, k2, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, yo, cdd, yo, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k2, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, yo, * cdd, k1, yo, k3, yo, k4, cdd, k4, yo, k3, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, yo, * cdd, yo, k5, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, k5, yo, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, yo, * cdd, yo, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, yo, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Row 15: edge st, yo, * cdd, k4, yo, k3, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k3, yo, k4, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, skpo, edge st.

Work rows 1-16 once, then repeat rows 3-16 throughout.
