Lace Checker Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Checker Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 10 stitches + 5 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 17 stitches (10 + 5 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s. 

The patt rep = 10 sts wide.

Horizontally, begin with the edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with the 5 sts after patt rep and the edge st.

k: knit

p: purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, * p5, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to *, end with p5, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: Purl.

Row 3: edge st, * p5, k5 *; repeat from * to *, end with p5, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, p5 *; repeat from * to *, end with k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k5, p5 *; repeat from * to *, end with k5, edge st.

Vertically, repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
