Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 14 sts (12 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo's.

The patt rep = 12 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

2/1 Right Cross: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K from cable needle

2/1 Left Cross: slip 2 st to cable needle, hold to front, K1, K2 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, * (k2tog, yo) 3 times, k6 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all sts and yo’s.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, k1, 2/1 Right Cross, k3 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2, k2tog, yo, k1, 2/1 Right Cross, k4 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k4, 2/1 Right Cross, k1, yo, skpo, k2 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k3, 2/1 Right Cross, k1, (yo, skpo) twice, k1 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.
