Dress with Cable Pattern
Size: 10 (US 8).
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1000 g Naco ARCTIC (40% Wool, 60% Acrylic, yardage = 100 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 6 mm (US 10); stitch holder.
Stocking stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.
Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.
Textured Pattern:
Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Repeat Rows 1-32 throughout.
For Cable Patt A, in height rep from Row 7 to Row 19 from arrow A to arrow B.
Cable Patt B and C: Follow Chart B and C.
Rep rows 1 - 4.
Gauge:
over St st: 12 sts and 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Integrally-knitted body:
Using circular needle, pick up 144 sts and cont as foll: 62 sts in St st and 82 sts in Textured Patt acc to chart..
For side slants, on Row 71 from beg, on either side of last cables, bind off 1 st and then 1 st 3 times on every 4th row, then 1 st twice on every 2nd row at each end of St st = 124 sts.
On Row 125 from beg, divide the work in the middle.
Back (over 62 sts):
Change to 6 mm needles.
On Row 125 from beg, cont in Cable Patt B and C at each end.
Raglan Shaping: bind off 1 st at each end and then 1 st 15 times on every 2nd row = 30 sts..
On Row 157, sl sts to holder.
Front (over 62 sts): Work same as back.
RIGHT SLEEVE
Using needles size 6 mm, cast on 30 sts and work 4 rows in Rib Patt.
Next, work 94 rows in St st.
Sleeve shaping: On Row 11 from Rib, inc 1 stitch at each end, then 1 st 9 times on every 8th row = 50 sts.
Raglan Shaping: On Row 95 from Rib, bind off 1 st at each end, then 1 st 15 times on every 2nd row = 18 sts.
On Row 127 from Rib, sl sts to holder.
Repeat for other sleeve.
Finishing:
Join raglan, side and sleeve seams.
Collar:
Transfer 96 sts on holder (30+18+30+18) onto circular needle size 6 mm.
Next, work 28 rows in Rib Patt, then purl 1 row.
On Row 30 from beg, bind off all sts.
