Materials:
Yarn: 1200 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 240m / 100g), 1 pair of knit needle size 4 mm (US 6), 8 buttons.
Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.
Garter st (gst): RS and WS rows K.
Rib Pattern: * K2, P2, rep from * throughout on RS rows.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Eyelet Stripe:
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.
Fancy Pattern:
Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1-52 throughout.
Working:
Model is worked in one piece from top down without side seams.
Cast on 139 sts and distribute sts as foll: selv st, 9 sts in gst for band, K1, 24 sts in Fancy Pattern for front, K2 for raglan line, 13 sts in Eyelet Stripe for sleeve, K2 for raglan line, 35 sts in Eyelet Stripe for back, K2 for raglan line, 13 sts in Eyelet Stripe for sleeve, K2 for raglan line, 24 sts in Fancy Pattern for front, K1, 9 sts in gst for band, selv st.
Raglan Shaping: inc 1 st 32 times on every 2nd row along each of 4 raglan lines.
To do this, work yo before and after raglan line.
Work increased sts into pattern (Eyelet Stripe for back and sleeves, Fancy Pattern for fronts).
While working right front band work buttonholes evenly spaced.
When piece measures 22 cm from beg, place sts of sleeves on holder..
Join sts of fronts and back tog in one piece and work even.
When piece measures 92 cm from beg, work in gst.
When piece measures 99 cm from beg, bind off all sts.
Place sts of sleeves on holder to needles.
For sleeve narrowing, bind off 1st at each end on every 8th row.
When piece measures 52 cm from beg, dec 16 sts evenly and work in Rib Patt.
When piece measures 58 cm from beg, bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Sew sleeve seams.
Pick up sts along neckline and work in Rib Patt.
When piece measures 10 cm from beg, bind off all sts.
Sew on buttons.
