Checker and Honeycomb Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Checker and Honeycomb Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 20 stitches + 6 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 28 stitches (20 + 6 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches.
 
The pattern repeat = 20 stitches wide.
 
Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 6 stitches after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.
 
Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
2-st RT: skip 1 st, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
2-st LT: knit through the back loop 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
 
Written Instructions:
Rows 1, 5 and 9 (right side): edge st, * p6, 2-st RT, 2-st LT, k6, 2-st RT, 2-st LT *; repeat from * to *; end with p6, edge st.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.
