Materials:
Yarn: 500 g (100% Mercerized Cotton, yardage = 200 m / 50 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 2.5 mm (US 1.5), crochet hook size 1.75.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Work rows 1-26 once, then repeat rows 27-50.
Leaf Pattern:
Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Rep rows 1-24 throughout.
Gauge: 27 sts and 31 rows = 10 x 10 сm.
Top:
Front:
Cast on 143 sts and work in Lace Pattern betw selv sts.
After 10 cm = 26 rows from beg, work 2 sts tog pwise on WS strips.
Rep rows 27-50 throughout.
After 20 cm = 54 rows from beg, work 2 sts tog pwise on each WS strip.
Cont to work without decs.
Armhole Shaping: When work measures 35 cm = 108 rows from beg, bind off 4 sts once, 3 st twice, 2 sts twice and 1 st 3 times at each end on every 2nd row, then 1 st once on every 4th row.
Neckline Shaping: After 8 cm = 24 rows from armhole beg, bind off central 21st st and cont to work separately. At neckline edges, bind off 3 sts twice, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row, then 1 st once on every 4th row.
After 16 cm = 50 rows from armhole beg, bind off rem sts each side for shoulders.
Back: Work same as front.
Neckline Shaping: When work measures 13 cm = 42 rows from armhole beg, bind off center 53 sts and finish both sides separately.
After 16 cm = 50 rows from armhole beg, bind off rem sts each side for shoulders.
Finishing:
Sew side and shoulder seams.
With crochet hook, work 1 rnd sc and 1 rnd sc with picot (= ch 3 and 1 sc back in the 1 st ch) into each 5th st around edges of bottom and neckline.
Bolero:
Back:
Cast on 135 sts and work in Leaf Pattern.
Armhole Shaping: When work measures 29 cm = 90 rows from beg, bind off 3 sts 3 times, 2 sts twice, 1 st 3 times at each end on every 2nd row, then 1 st twice on every 4th row.
Neckline Shaping: When work measures 14 cm = 44 rows from armhole beg, bind off center 55 sts and finish both sides separately.
After 16 cm = 50 rows from armhole beg, bind off rem sts each side for shoulders.
Right Front:
Cast on 31 sts and work in Leaf Pattern.
For rounding at front edge, at right end inc 4 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st 11 times on every 2nd row, then 1 st 4 times on every 4th row.
Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 28 cm = 87 rows from beg, at right end work decs (work 2 sts tog kwise on every 2nd row): 1 st 4 times, 0 sts, 1 st 4 times, 0 sts, 1 st twice, 0 sts, 1 st, 0 sts, 1 st twice, 0 sts, 1 st, 0 sts, 1 st twice, 0 sts, 1 st, 0 sts, 1 st.
Armhole Shaping: When work measures 29 cm = 90 rows from beg, at left end bind off 3 sts 3 times, 2 sts twice, 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row, then 1 st twice on every 4th row.
After 16 cm = 50 rows from armhole beg, bind off rem sts each side for shoulders.
Left Front: Work in reverse.
Sleeves:
Cast on 78 sts and work in Leaf Pattern.
For sleeve shaping, beg with Row 8, inc 1 st 10 times on every 4th row.
Cap Shaping: When work measures 14 cm = 44 rows from beg, bind off 4 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 8 times, 2 sts 4 times, 3 sts twice and 4 sts once at each end on every 2nd row.
After 13 cm = 40 rows from sleeve cap beg, bind off rem sts.
Finishing:
Sew side and shoulder seams.
Set in sleeves. Join sleeve seams.
With crochet hook, work 1 rnd sc and 1 rnd sc with picot (= ch 3 and 1 sc back in the 1 st ch) into each 5th st around edges of bolero and sleeves.
