Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Diamond Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 6 sts + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 14 sts (6 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches.

The patt rep = 6 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

2-st RT: skip 1 st, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

2-st LT: knit through the back loop 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

Row 1: edge st, * 2-st LT, k2, 2-st RT *; repeat from * to *, ending with edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all stitches.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, 2-st LT, 2-st RT, k1 *; repeat from * to *, ending with edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k1, 2-st RT, 2-st LT, k1 *; repeat from * to *, ending with edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * 2-st RT, k2, 2-st LT *; repeat from * to *, ending with edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
