Garter Stitch Zigzag Knitting Pattern

How to knit Zigzag Garter Stitch:

Work with multiple of 15 sts + 8 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 25 stitches (8 + 15 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The patt rep = 15 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 8 sts before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, skpo, p6, yo, * k7, skpo, p6, yo *; repeat from * to *, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all sts and yo’s.

Row 3: edge st, skpo, p5, yo, k1, * k7, skpo, p5, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *, edge st.
