Short Sleeve Pattern Mix Sweater

How to knit the Short Sleeve Pattern Mix Sweater:
Sizes: US XS/S (M/L) XL/XXL UK Sizes: 6/8 (10/12) 16/18
Materials:
650 (700) 750 g yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic, 98 yds/1.76 oz); straight knitting needles US 6 (4 mm); circular knitting needle US 4 (3.5 mm).

Garter Stitch Pattern: on right-side and wrong-side rows, knit all stitches; when working in the round, alternate 1 round purl and 1 round knit.

Main Pattern: work with a multiple of 12 stitches + 1 stitch + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to chart, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs, or work as indicated.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and the stitches before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with the stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Repeat Rows 1–116 throughout.

Gauge: 18 stitches and 28 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).

Back:
Cast on 87 (99) 111 stitches and work in Main Pattern.
After 24 in = 170 rows (61 cm) from cast-on, for the neckline bind off the center 27 (31) 31 stitches and finish each side separately.
For neckline shaping, bind off 3 stitches once and 2 stitches once at the inner edge on every 2nd row.
After 24.75 in = 176 rows (63 cm) from cast-on, bind off the remaining 25 (29) 35 shoulder stitches on each side.

Front:
Work as for the Back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, after 22.5 in = 160 rows (57 cm) from cast-on, bind off the center 21 (25) 25 stitches and on every 2nd row bind off 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once and 1 stitch 3 times.

Sleeves:
Cast on 75 stitches and work in Main Pattern.
At the same time, for sleeve shaping increase 1 stitch at each side alternately on every 8th and 10th row 6 times (on every 6th row 9 times) on every 6th row 9 times = 87 (93) 93 stitches, incorporating the increased stitches into the pattern.
After 8.25 in = 60 rows (21 cm) from cast-on, bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
Using the circular needle, pick up and knit 72 (80) 80 stitches around the neckline, work 0.75 in (2 cm) in Garter Stitch Pattern and bind off all stitches.
Join side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
