Wave Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 13 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 stitches (13 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only right side rows.

Rows 2 and 4 (wrong side): knit all stitches.

On other wrong side rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.

The pattern repeat is 13 stitches wide.

Repeat the pattern between the edge stitches throughout.

k: Knit

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Rows 1 and 3 (right side): Knit.

Rows 2 and 4 (wrong side): Knit.

Row 5: edge stitch, * skpo, k4, yo, k1, yo, k4, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 6 and the following even-numbered rows: Purl.

Row 7: edge stitch, * skpo, k3, yo, k3, yo, k3, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 9: edge stitch, * skpo, k2, yo, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 11: edge stitch, * skpo, k1, yo, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, yo, k1, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 13: edge stitch, * (skpo, yo) 3 times, k1, (yo, k2tog) 3 times *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Repeat Rows 1-14 throughout.
