Vertical Lace Knit Stitch

How to knit vertical Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 8 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (8 + 8 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, * k1, p2, k3, p2, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, p2, k1, yo, k2tog, p2, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st

Row 5: edge st, * k1, p2, yo, cdd, yo, p2, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k1, p2, k3, p2, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
