Twisted Stitches Knitting Pattern

How to knit Twisted Stitches:

Work with multiple of 6 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 20 stitches (6 + 6 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, purl all stitches.

The patt rep = 6 sts wide.

work right cross on 2 sts: skip 1 stitch, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

work left cross on 2 sts: knit through the back loop 2nd st behind first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle

Row 1: edge st, * work left cross, work right cross twice; repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all stitches.

Row 3: edge st, k1, work left cross, * work right cross, work left cross twice; repeat from * to last 4 sts, work right cross, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * work left cross twice, k2; repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k1, * work left cross twice, work right cross; repeat from * to last 6 sts, work left cross twice, k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, work right cross, * work left cross, work right cross twice; repeat from * to last 5 sts, work left cross, work right cross, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, k3, * work right cross twice, k2; repeat from * to last 4 sts, work right cross, k1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
