Small Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Small Diamond Stitch:

Multiple of 18 + 2 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 22 sts (18 + 2 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows RS rows and WS rows.

Read RS row from right to left, WS row from left to right.

The pat rep = 18 sts wide.

2-st ktbl RT: knit through back loop 2nd st without dropping from LH needle, knit through back loop first, drop both sts from LH needle together

2-st ptbl RT: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to back, K1, P1tbl from cable needle 

2-st ptbl LT: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to front, P1 tbl, K1 from cable needle  

Row 1 (RS): edge st, * p2, (p1, 2-st ktbl RT, p1) 4 times, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, edge st.

Row 2 (WS): edge st, k2, * (2-st ptbl LT, 2-st ptbl RT) 4 times, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p2, knit 1 stitch through back loop, p2, (2-st ktbl RT, p2) 3 times, knit 1 stitch through back loop, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, edge st.

Row 4: edge st, k2, * (2-st ptbl RT, 2-st ptbl LT) 4 times, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
