Relief Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Relief Stitch:

Multiple of 6 + 3 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 17 sts (6 + 6 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

The patt rep = 6 sts.

slip wyib: slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at back of work

slip wyif: slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at front of work

Row 1: edge st, * p3, slip wyif3, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 2: edge st, k3, * slip wyib3, k3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k4, lift 2 front horizontal strands and ktog with the next stitch, k1, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k3, edge st.

Row 4: purl all stitches.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
