Mock Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Mock Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 sts (3 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

P1yo1: purl 1 st and 1 yo together, yo to be dropped on following row

make 7from7: slip foll 4 sts together kwise to right-hand needle and place them back on left-hand needle, work K7tog tbl, without slipping the st from the needle, 1 yo, then (K7tog tbl, 1 yo) twice, end with K7tog tbl

Rows 1, 3 and 5: edge st, p3, * k7, p3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Rows 2 and 4: edge st, * k3, p7, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k3, edge st.

Row 6: edge st, * k3, P1yo1 7 times, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k3, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, p3, * make 7from7, p3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 8: edge st, * k3, p7, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k3, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
