Mesh Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Mesh Stitch:

Multiple of 4 + 1 + 2 edge sts. 

Cast on 15 stitches (1 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P.

The pat rep = 4 sts.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, p1, * k3, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * yo, cdd, yo, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, p1, * k3, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k2tog, yo, p1, * yo, cdd, yo, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, yo, skpo, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
