Leaves Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaves Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 sts (1 + 10 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and 1 stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Rows 1, 3 and 5: edge st, k1, * skpo, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 7, 9 and 11: edge st, k1, * yo, skpo, k5, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
