Leaves Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaves Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 6 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 18 sts (5 + 10 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 5 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with st after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7: edge st, skpo, k3, yo, * k1, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Rows 9, 11, 13 and 15: edge st, k1, yo, k3, * cdd, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, repeat from to last 3 sts, k2tog, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.
