Work with a multiple of 22 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 47 stitches (11 + 22 + 12 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work stitches as they appear or work as given in instructions.

The pattern repeat = 22 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 stitch and 11 stitches before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 12 stitches after patt and 1 stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: Yarn Over. On Wrong Side rows, purl the yo

yok: Yarn Over. On Wrong Side rows, knit the yo

purl gst (1 st in purl garter stitch): purl in right side and wrong side rows

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (knit the k sts and purl the p sts) or as given in instructions.
