Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaf Stitch:

Work with multiple of 18 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 21 sts (1 + 18 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 18 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, k1, * k5, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k6, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, *k3, k2tog, skpo, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, k2tog, skpo, k4, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k2, k2tog, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, skpo, k3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k1, * k1, k2tog, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k5, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, skpo, k2, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, * k2tog, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k7, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, skpo, k1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, k1, * skpo, k2, yo, k9, yo, k2, k2tog, k1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
