Lace Zigzag Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Zigzag Stitch:

Work with multiple of 7 sts + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 17 stitches (1 + 7 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 7 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and st before patt, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9: edge st, k1, * (yo, k1) twice, skpo, k2tog, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19: edge st, k1, * skpo, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-20 throughout.
