Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Pattern: 

Work with a multiple of 24 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 26 stitches (24 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and yarn-over loops.

 

The pattern repeat = 24 stitches wide.

Repeat pattern between edge stitches throughout.

 

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

 

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * skpo, k4, yo, k4, yo, k2tog, skpo, yo, k4, yo, k4, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

Row 3: edge stitch, * skpo, k3, yo, k4, yo, k1, k2tog, skpo, k1, yo, k4, yo, k3, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 5: edge stitch, * skpo, k2, yo, k4, yo, k2, k2tog, skpo, k2, yo, k4, yo, k2, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 7: edge stitch, * skpo, k1, yo, k4, yo, k3, k2tog, skpo, k3, yo, k4, yo, k1, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 9: edge stitch, * skpo, yo, k4, yo, k4, k2tog, skpo, k4, yo, k4, yo, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 11: edge stitch, * skpo, k1, yo, k4, yo, k3, k2tog, skpo, k3, yo, k4, yo, k1, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 13: edge stitch, * skpo, k2, yo, k4, yo, k2, k2tog, skpo, k2, yo, k4, yo, k2, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Row 15: edge stitch, * skpo, k3, yo, k4, yo, k1, k2tog, skpo, k1, yo, k4, yo, k3, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; edge stitch.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.
