How to knit Lace Pattern:
Work with a multiple of 16 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 19 stitches (16 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and yarn-over loops.
The pattern repeat = 16 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with 1 stitch after patt rep and 1 edge stitch.
Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
Written Instructions:
Rows 1 and 3 (right side): edge stitch, * k5, p7, k4 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: Purl.
Row 5: edge stitch, * k6, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k5 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Row 7: edge stitch, * k5, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Row 9: edge stitch, * k4, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Rows 11 and 13: edge stitch, * p4, k9, p3 *; repeat from * to *; end with p1, edge stitch.
Row 15: edge stitch, * k1, yo, skpo, k11, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Row 17: edge stitch, * k2, yo, skpo, k9, k2tog, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
