Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with a multiple of 19 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 24 stitches (19 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs.

The patt rep = 19 stitches wide.

Horizontally, begin with the edge stitch, work patt rep throughout, end with the 3 stitches after patt rep and the edge st.

k: Knit

yo: Yarn Over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

K3tog: knit 3 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Rows 1, 3 and 5: edge st, * skpo, yo, k7, yo, k2tog, skpo, yo, k6 *; repeat from * to *; skpo, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: Purl.

Row 7: edge st, * skpo, yo, k5, k2tog, yo, k4, yo, skpo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; skpo, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * skpo, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, skpo, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; skpo, yo, k1, edge st.
