Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with multiple of 8 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (8 + 8 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The patt rep = 8 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt repeat throughout, end with stitch after patt and 1 edge st.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1, 3 and 5: edge st, * k1, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Rows 7, 9 and 11: edge st, skpo, k2, yo, * k1, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
