Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 19 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 21 sts (19 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work sts as they appear; work yo’s P. 

The patt rep = 19 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * p4, k2tog twice, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, skpo twice, p4, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p3, k2tog twice, yo, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, yo, skpo twice, p3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p2, k2tog twice, yo, k1, yo, k5, yo, k1, yo, skpo twice, p2, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p1, k2tog twice, yo, k1, yo, k7, yo, k1, yo, skpo twice, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k2tog twice, yo, k1, yo, k9, yo, k1, yo, skpo twice, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.
