Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 8 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (1 + 8 + 8 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and 1 st before patt, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, p1, * p1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, p1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1, p1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, p1, * yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, p1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, p1, * k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, p1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, p1, * yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, p1, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
