Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 6 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 sts (1 + 6 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The pat rep = 6 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

cddp (Central Double Decrease): transpose the order of the first and second stitch on the left needle; then purl the three stitches together

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

C2BP: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to back, K1, P1 from cable needle

C2FP: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to front, P1, K1 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, p1, * C2BP, p1, C2FP, p1, repeat from * to last 7 sts, C2BP, p1, C2FP, p1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * k1, yo, cddp, yo, k1, p1, repeat from * to last 7 sts, k1, yo, cddp, yo, k1, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * C2FP, p1, C2BP, p1, repeat from * to last 7 sts, C2FP, p1, C2BP, p1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, p2tog, * yo, k1, p1, k1, yo, cddp, repeat from * to last 6 sts, yo, k1, p1, k1, yo, p2tog tbl, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
