Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 9 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 20 sts (9 + 9 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 9 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * p2, k2, yo, k1, skpo, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work all sts and yo’s P.

Row 3: edge st, * p2, k2tog, k1, yo, k2, p2, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
