Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 9 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 sts (3 + 12 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1, 5 and 9: edge st, k3, yo, * cdd, yo, k3, p3, k3, yo, repeat from * to last 7 sts, cdd, yo, k3, edge st.

Rows 3 and 7: edge st, k1, skpo, yo, k1, * k2, yo, k2tog, k1, p3, k1, skpo, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k2, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Rows 11, 15 and 19: edge st, k3, p1, * p2, k3, yo, cdd, yo, k3, p1, repeat from * to last 6 sts, p2, k3, edge st.

Rows 13 and 17: edge st, k3, p1, * p2, k1, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, p1, repeat from * to last 6 sts, p2, k3, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-20 throughout.
