Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 4 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 22 sts (4 + 8 + 8 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

yo: yarn over

Row 1: edge st, k1, k2tog, k1, yo, * k1, skpo, k2, k2tog, k1, yo, repeat from * to last 9 sts, k1, skpo, k5, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, * yo, k1, skpo, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 8 sts, yo, k1, skpo, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, yo, k2, * k1, yo, k1, skpo, k1, yo, k2, repeat from * to last 8 sts, k1, yo, k1, skpo, k1, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k4, * k2tog, k1, yo, k1, skpo, k2, repeat from * to last 10 sts, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, skpo, k3, edge st.
