How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 18 + 7 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 27 sts (5 + 18 + 2 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 18 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k3, yo (yarn over), skpo, * k3, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, k2, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, * (skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 4 sts, skpo, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2tog, yo, k3, * (yo, cdd, yo, k3) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, yo, skpo, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k5, * k1, yo, k4, skpo, k1, k2tog, k4, yo, k4, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, k2, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, * yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, k1, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, k2, yo, cdd, yo, * k3, yo, k2, skpo, k1, k2tog, k2, yo, k3, yo, cdd, yo, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, k2, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, k2, k2tog, yo, k1, * k4, yo, k1, skpo, k1, k2tog, k1, yo, k5, yo, skpo, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, k2, edge st

Row 15: edge st, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, * (skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 4 sts, skpo, k1, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, k2tog, yo, k3, * yo, cdd, yo, k3, repeat from * to the last 3 sts, yo, skpo, edge st.

Work rows 1-18 once, then repeat rows 7-18 throughout.
