How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 16 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 19 sts (16 + 1 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear; purl yo’s.

The pat rep = 16 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Rows 1 and 9: edge st, * p1, (skpo, yo) 3 times, k1, p1, yo, k2, skpo, k3, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 3 and 11: edge st, * p1, (skpo, yo) 3 times, k1, p1, k1, yo, k2, skpo, k2, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 5 and 13: edge st, * p1, (skpo, yo) 3 times, k1, p1, k2, yo, k2, skpo, k1, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 7 and 15: edge st, * p1, (skpo, yo) 3 times, k1, p1, k3, yo, k2, skpo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 17 and 25: edge st, * p1, k3, k2tog, k2, yo, p1, k1, (yo, k2tog) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 19 and 27: edge st, * p1, k2, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, p1, k1, (yo, k2tog) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 21 and 29: edge st, * p1, k1, k2tog, k2, yo, k2, p1, k1, (yo, k2tog) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Rows 23 and 31: edge st, * p1, k2tog, k2, yo, k3, p1, k1, (yo, k2tog) 3 times, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-32 throughout.
