Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 11 sts (8 + 1 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Rows 1 and 5: edge st, k1, * k1, skpo, yo (yarn over), k1, yo, k2tog, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Rows 7 and 11: edge st, k1, * yo, k2tog, k3, skpo, yo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, * k1, yo, k2tog, k1, skpo, yo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
