How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 12 + 3 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 17 sts (12 + 3 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * p1, k1, p1, k2tog, k2, yo (yarn over), k1, yo, k2, skpo, repeat from * to the last 4 sts, p1, k1, p1, edge st.

Rows 2, 4 and 6: edge st, k3, * p9, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p1, k1, p1, k2tog, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, skpo, repeat from * to the last 4 sts, p1, k1, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p1, k1, p1, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, repeat from * to the last 4 sts, p1, k1, p1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-6 throughout.
