How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 4 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 22 sts (4 + 8 + 8 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, k4, * yo (yarn over), k1, skpo, k5, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k4, * yo, k2, skpo, k4, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k4, * yo, k3, skpo, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k4, * yo, k4, skpo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k4, * yo, k5, skpo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, k4, * yo, k6, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, * k5, k2tog, k1, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Row 15: edge st, * k4, k2tog, k2, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, * k3, k2tog, k3, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Row 19: edge st, * k2, k2tog, k4, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Row 21: edge st, * k1, k2tog, k5, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Row 23: edge st, * k2tog, k6, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-24 throughout.
