Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 19 sts (8 + 8 + 1 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * k1, skpo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k2tog, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k1, yo, k1, k2tog, k1, skpo, k1, yo, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k2, yo, k2tog, k1, skpo, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
