How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 5 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 17 stitches (5 + 5 + 5 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

RS row and WS row are shown.

Read RS row from right to left, WS row from left to right.

The pat rep = 5 sts.

Row 1: knit all sts.

Row 2: purl all sts.

Row 3: edge st, * K1 and yo's twice, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 4: edge st, * drop yo's, K5tog, work 1 yo without slipping the st from the needle, again K5tog, yo, K5tog, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: knit all sts.

Row 6: purl all sts.

Repeat Rows 1-6 throughout.
