Lace Stitch Knitting

Work with a multiple of 13 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 stitches (13 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and any yarn-over loops.

 

The pattern repeat = 13 stitches wide.

 

Repeat pattern between edge stitches throughout.

 

k: knit stitch

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

 

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * (k1, skpo, yo) twice, k1, (yo, k2tog, k1) twice *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

Row 3: edge stitch, * skpo, yo, k1, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, yo, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Rows 5, 7 and 9: edge stitch, * (skpo, yo) twice, k5, (yo, k2tog) twice *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 11: edge stitch, * skpo, yo, k1, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, yo, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Repeat rows 1-12 throughout.
