Lace Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 20 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 stitches (20 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate Right Side rows, and at left edge Wrong Side rows.

Read Right Side rows from right to left, Wrong Side rows from left to right.

The pattern repeat = 20 stitches wide.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: Yarn Over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1 and 5 (right side): edge stitch, * p1, yo, k4, skpo, k3, p1, k3, k2tog, k4, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with p1, edge stitch.

Rows 2 and 6 (wrong side): edge stitch, k1, * p1, yo, p4, p2tog, p2, k1, p2, p2tog tbl, p4, yo, p1, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with edge stitch.
