Lace Leaf Knitting Stitch

Work with a multiple of 18 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 20 stitches (18 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and any yarn-over loops.

The pattern repeat = 18 stitches wide.

Repeat the pattern between edge stitches throughout.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

K3tog: knit 3 stitches together 

K3tog tbl: knit 3 stitches together through back loop

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * k11, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

Row 3: edge stitch, * k3tog tbl, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, k3tog, k1, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k1, skpo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 5: edge stitch, * k10, yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 7: edge stitch, * k3tog tbl, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, k3tog, k2, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 9: edge stitch, * k12, yo, cdd, yo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 11: edge stitch, * k3tog tbl, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, k3tog, k9 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 13: edge stitch, * k2, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k11 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 15: edge stitch, * k1, k2tog, (k1, yo) twice, k1, skpo, k1, k3tog tbl, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, k3tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 17: edge stitch, * k1, yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, k10 *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.

Row 19: edge stitch, * k2, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k2, k3tog tbl, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, k3tog *; repeat from * to *; end with the edge stitch.
