Lace Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 14 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 17 stitches (14 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and 1 Wrong Side row (Row 24).

On Wrong Side rows, work stitches as they appear; work yarn overs purl.

The pattern repeat = 14 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 1 stitch after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

slip wyif: slip 1 stitch purlwise, leave yarn in back of work

slip wyib: slip 1 stitch purlwise, leave yarn in front of work

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * p5, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, p4 *; repeat from * to *; p1, edge stitch.

Row 2 and every even row (wrong side): work stitches as they appear; work yarn overs purl.

Row 3: edge stitch, * p4, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, p3 *; repeat from * to *; p1, edge stitch.

Row 5: edge stitch, * p3, (k2tog, yo) twice, k1, (yo, skpo) twice, p2 *; repeat from * to *; p1, edge stitch.

Row 7: edge stitch, * p2, (k2tog, yo) twice, k3, (yo, skpo) twice, p1 *; repeat from * to *; p1, edge stitch.

Row 9: edge stitch, * p1, (k2tog, yo) 3 times, k1, (yo, skpo) 3 times *; repeat from * to *; p1, edge stitch.

Row 11: edge stitch, * p1, k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, k3, (yo, skpo) twice, k1 *; repeat from * to *; p1, edge stitch.
