How to knit Lace Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 6 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 15 stitches (6 + 6 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, work stitches as they appear; knit yarn-over loops.
The pattern repeat = 6 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, work the pattern repeat, end with 1 stitch after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
Written Instructions:
Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * p1, k5 *; repeat from * to *; end with p1, edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work stitches as they appear on this side of work; knit yarn-over loops.
Row 3: edge stitch, * p1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with p1, edge stitch.
Row 5: edge stitch, * p2, k3, p1 *; repeat from * to *; end with p1, edge stitch.
Row 7: edge stitch, * k3, p1, k2 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Row 9: edge stitch, * k1, k2tog, yo, p1, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Row 11: edge stitch, * k2, p3, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.
Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
