Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 8 stitches + 2 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 20 stitches (5 + 8 + 5 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all stitches and any yarn-over loops.

The pattern repeat = 8 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch and 5 stitches before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 5 stitches after pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

k: knit stitch

p: purl stitch

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, k3, yo, k1, * k3, skpo, k2, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k3, skpo, k1, edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.
