Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Pattern: 

Work with a multiple of 11 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 25 stitches (6 + 11 + 6 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side rows, purl all stitches, including any yarn-over loops.

The pattern repeat = 11 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch and 6 stitches before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 6 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Written Instructions:

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, k1, yo, k3, k2tog, * skpo, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; skpo, k3, yo, k1, edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

Row 3: edge stitch, k2, yo, k2, k2tog, * skpo, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; skpo, k2, yo, k2, edge stitch.

Row 5: edge stitch, k3, yo, k1, k2tog, * skpo, k1, yo, k5, yo, k1, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; skpo, k1, yo, k3, edge stitch.

Row 7: edge stitch, k4, yo, k2tog, * skpo, yo, k7, yo, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; skpo, yo, k4, edge stitch.

Row 9: edge stitch, skpo, k2, yo, k2, * k2, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; k2, yo, k2, k2tog, edge stitch.

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.
