Lace Heart Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Heart Stitch:

Multiple of 17 + 2 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 21 sts and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 17 sts wide.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

yo: yarn over

Row 1: purl all sts.

Row 2 and all even rows: purl all sts and yo’s.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * p6, p2tog, yo, k1, yo, p2tog, p6, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * p5, p2tog, yo, k3, yo, p2tog, p5, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, p1, * p4, p2tog, yo, k5, yo, p2tog, p4, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, p1, * p3, p2tog, yo, k7, yo, p2tog, p3, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, p1, * p2, p2tog, yo, k9, yo, p2tog, p2, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st.
