How to knit Lace Diamond Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 22 sts + 7 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 31 sts (22 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The patt rep = 22 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt rep throughout, end with 7 sts after patt rep and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k16 *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k9, k2tog, yo, k2, (yo, k2tog) twice, k1, yo, skpo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; k7, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k2, k2tog, yo, k2, (yo, k2tog) 3 times, k1, yo, skpo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k7, k2tog, yo, k2, (yo, k2tog) 4 times, k1, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to *; k7, edge st.
