Lace Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Diamond Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 19 sts (4 + 8 + 5 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Rows 1 and 9: edge st, skpo, yo, k2, * k3, yo, cdd, yo, k2, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k3, yo, k2tog, edge st.

Rows 3 and 11: edge st, k2, yo, k2tog, * k1, skpo, yo, k3, yo, k2tog, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k1, skpo, yo, k2, edge st.

Rows 5 and 13: edge st, k3, yo, * cdd, yo, k5, yo, repeat from * to last 7 sts, cdd, yo, k3, edge st.

Rows 7 and 15: edge st, k1, skpo, yo, k1, * k2, yo, k2tog, k1, skpo, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k2, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.
